About Us

What?  Quarter Furniture & Accessories specialises in solidly constructed furniture and eye-catching accessories for the home. The showroom in Bristol is set over two floors and displays an array of bedroom, dining & occasional furniture, storage, lighting, clocks and mirrors, coffee tables, sideboards, beds, mattresses and bookcases. It's not a huge shop but we aim to always display examples from each furniture range. Our priorities are sourcing great quality products priced sensibly, backed up with excellent customer service.

Where?  Bristol’s Cheltenham Road lies between the neighbourly bustle of Gloucester Road and the urban buzz of Stokes Croft. Quarter sits among an eclectic mix of cafes, boutiques and specialist retailers in an area that is the proud hub of Bristol's independent traders. You’ll find the shop in between Colston’s Girls’ School and The Arches, directly opposite Cheltenham Road library. You can park on the single yellow lines along Cheltenham Road from 10am until 4pm weekdays and all weekend. There is pay-and-display parking which is free for 30 minutes. The side roads opposite usually have spaces too and there is additional parking 100 metres away on Station Road. Montpelier railway station is a 3 minute walk and buses stop right outside every 5 minutes.

Who?  My name is Andy Spiers and I am the owner of Quarter. I’m the sales advisor you’ll meet in the shop, the person who answers the phone, and the delivery driver who will deliver your furniture if you live near Bristol. I’m the buyer, the bookkeeper, the window cleaner and the customer service fulfilment facilitator! I have more than 25 years retail experience and an eye for well-made beautiful furniture. I was involved with the running of Dusk til Dawn throughout the 00’s and Grate Expectations before that. I work very hard to make sure my customers feel valued and looked after. If you need any product information, to know about delivery times, recommendations, advice or anything else, I am your one point of contact.

When?  You can of course buy online any time you like. But the shop is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10:30 - 17:00. If these times are not convenient then just give me a call and we can arrange an appointment at another time. I live very locally so an early morning, a late evening or a Sunday is rarely a problem.

Pricing:  We work hard to make sure that our prices are competitive. But if you see the same product available elsewhere at a lower total price, tell us about it and we will do our best to match it or even beat it. As a small independent company this is often possible so it's always worth checking before you buy elsewhere.

Purchasing:  When buying beautiful things for your home, shopping in store allows you to see and feel them before you commit, and you can also get advice on sizing and care for your furniture. If however you prefer to shop online, please just click on. But don't forget you are very welcome to call 0117 9247777 or email sales@quarterfurniture.co.uk if you need any more information.

Payment:  All debit cards and most credit cards are accepted both online and in store. However, if you use internet banking, you can help us to avoid bank charges and processing fees and therefore keep our prices low by paying by bank transfer. Just mention this when you're ready to place your order and we can usually offer a small but worthwhile discount.

Local Delivery:  If you live within BS postcodes, home-delivery is free and arranged for a time that suits you. Early evening is best for most customers. Deliveries are to the room of your choice, all the packaging is taken away and recycled, and everything is left fully assembled and ready to use. If there is any doubt that your goods will fit through the door or up the stairs I am always happy to come out to check the access for you before you commit to buy.

Nationwide Delivery:  If you live further away then delivery is free on orders over £650 anywhere in mainland England & Wales. There is a small delivery charge of between £15 and £45 for orders under £650 outside of our local area. This is a single delivery charge for the total volumetric weight of your order, not per item. Delivery to any address outside our local area will be on an agreed day but not always at a specified time. If you live close to the BS postcodes, give us a call as we can sometimes be flexible. If you live in Scotland or overseas, please call for a delivery quote before ordering.

If there is anything else you'd like to know, please get in touch by phone or email at any time.
